Car Buyers want the Big “Grand” Ride

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), the country’s largest exporter and the second-largest car manufacturer, is a very happy brand today. The company has announced that since the launch of its latest car Grand in September this year, 33,000 units have been already been delivered to customers across the country. This is indeed a good performance by the brand despite market reports which predict a slowdown in the automotive sector in India.

Talking about the consumer response, Rakesh Srivastava, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, HMIL said, “We appreciate and thank our customers for showing strong confidence in brand Hyundai and making Grand a huge success in India. Grand has created a benchmark in quality, features and technology offering higher value proposition in such a short span of time. We are committed and continuously working on the operational efficiencies to cater to the demand to reduce the waiting period.”

According to the company, Grand has entered the charts as one of the top five selling car brands in India. Post the launch Hyundai saw over 124,000 footfalls at dealerships across all regions and they have facilitated over 165,000 test-drives for customers across India. “Hyundai Grand with its premium features and stylish design has made its mark amongst the first time buyers, up-graders and additional car buyers. Grand has generated high interest level amidst the younger generation in metros as well as Tier II cities,” added Srivastava. What makes the car attractive to the car buyers are features like Rear A/C vents, integrated 2-DIN MP3 audio, diamond cut Alloy wheels- unique 2 tone design along with smart key with push button start and stop, Bluetooth connectivity, multifunction steering wheel with Bluetooth, audio and trip meter controls, auto folding outside mirrors with electric adjustment function, rear parking sensors, turn indicators on outside mirrors and cooled glove Box.
